Measuring
your space.
A FEW MINUTES SPENT MEASURING BEFORE YOU ORDER MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. HERE'S HOW TO MAKE SURE YOUR NEW PIECE FITS YOUR SPACE — AND MAKES IT THROUGH YOUR DOOR.
01 — General Measuring Tips
Before ordering, measure the width, depth, and height of the space where your piece will live, along with the dimensions listed on the product page. Using painter's tape to outline the footprint directly on your floor is one of the easiest ways to visualize how a piece will actually sit in the room.
As a general rule, leave at least 30 to 36 inches of clearance for walkways around any new piece, so the space still feels open and easy to move through.
02 — Living Room
A coffee table generally looks and functions best when it measures about two-thirds the length of your sofa, with 14 to 18 inches of space left between the sofa and the table for comfortable reach and legroom.
For side tables, aim for a height close to the arm of your sofa or chair, so the surface stays within easy reach.

03 — Dining Room
Leave 36 to 42 inches between the edge of your dining table and the nearest wall or furniture, so chairs can be pulled out and guests can move freely behind seated diners.
When choosing a table length, plan for roughly 24 inches of table width per seat to keep place settings comfortable.

04 — Bedroom
Leave at least 24 to 30 inches of clearance around the bed for comfortable walking space, and a bit more along the side you use to get in and out each day.
Nightstands look and function best when their surface sits close to mattress height, so everything you need stays within easy reach.

05 — Delivery Access
Because every order includes white-glove delivery into your home, it's worth measuring your doorways, stairwells, hallways, and elevators ahead of time to make sure your piece can reach its final spot without issue.
